An uneventful drive through California and into Palm Springs for an afternoon of golf at Mountain View, followed by a wonderful meal with Jan and Stan Murray. We took pointers for desert living from our two laid back friends! Picked Ken up on Friday morning and arrived in balmy Scottsdale, a warm 24 degrees. We took care of the essentials with a trip to Bevmo and Trader Joe's, then back to our palatial abode where I took to the hot tub. Ken and I may take in Macy's pre-Christmas sale this afternoon, if we can muster the energy. If not, we may be forced to lounge poolside.
Traveler tip: if driving to Phoenix from Palm Springs, don't gas up in Blythe. Many more stations just beyond that sell gas $.50 cheaper.
